03 May We demonstrated secure mobility at DoD CIO Mobility Industry Day

On July 9, 2015, Kaonsoft was one of a handful of companies that participated in the United States Department of Defense, DoD CIO Mobility Industry Day at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC.  Hosted by the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) DC, the event “Capitalizing on Commercial Innovation” discussed DoD and Industry relationships and how the Department can better capitalize on the agility and innovation of the commercial sector. Kaonsoft’s own Randy Siegel had speaking and MC duties including announcing Major General Robert Wheeler, Deputy Chief Information Officer for Command Control, Communication and Computers and Information Infrastructure, Office of the Secretary of Defense.

Our Co-Founder, Chief Technology Officer and America CEO, Daniel Lee spoke with many members of the military including Major Michael Kwon of the US Air Force.  Daniel also had the chance to speak with industry partners and others involved in the Federal Mobile Ecosystem including those from Microsoft, Apple, Blackberry, Verizon, General Dynamics, MITRE, Samsung and many more.

The event was a huge success with about 550 government and private industry contractors on-site listening to informative panels throughout the day.  DOD CIO Terry Halverson plans many more in a series and will work with AFCEA DC on orchestration.

The event was also a success for Kaonsoft in that it puts us in touch with government decision makers, had us partner with our friends at BAI and successfully demonstrate out two-factor, HSPD-12 authentication solution, which can overcome the challenges DoD and other commercial industry have been facing in implementing mobility software in their organization.

There were many contacts made at the event and the Kaonsoft team has already followed up with several US Government inquiries.

The event was covered by the media and further information can be found here:
