Daniel J. Lee

Co-founder and CEO

As Co-founder and CEO of Kaonsoft, Daniel J. Lee sets and leads Kaonsoft’s corporate vision and global direction.  Based in Chicago, Daniel brings over 17 years of enterprise mobility and business consulting experience via tenures with Microsoft, IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers.  His success in guiding customers to achieve and exceed objectives coupled with his comprehensive experience in the mobility ecosystem drives Daniel’s commitment to Kaonsoft’s customers and partners.

Prior to establishing Kaonsoft, Daniel spent 8 years with Microsoft Consulting Services where he focused on mobile architecture and mobility solutions for multi-national customers.  Before joining Microsoft, he worked with IBM and PricewaterhouseCooopers where he designed and deployed mission-critical systems for Fortune 500 clients.  Daniel’s success delivering mobile solutions spans the history of mobility from the early days of Windows CE, Windows Mobile, and Pocket PC to today’s cross-platform, multi-device, integrated, enterprise-level mobile technologies. 

Daniel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.  He considers Chicago his hometown where he has lived most of his life.



Randy Siegel

Senior Vice President of Strategy and Sales

Randy Siegel, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Sales, has over 25 years of IT experience specializing in high assurance, mission critical enterprise environments such as the United States Federal Government. Randy was the Founder and Senior Principal at Center Circle Consultants, a U.S. Federal government consultancy focusing on Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) mobility products.


Prior to Center Circle, Randy held the position of Senior Vice President, Sales and Strategy for Fixmo U.S. where he led bid-strategy and was the driving force responsible for winning the DISA MDM/MAS RFP award as well as many other significant wins across Federal including those within the President’s Community of Interest (PCI).  Previous to joining Fixmo, Randy held the position of Director, Mission Critical Mobile Computing for Motorola Solutions, Federal Government Division. Previous to Motorola, he spent over 11 years with the Microsoft Corporation where he oversaw Microsoft’s mobility strategy and relationship with the U.S. Federal Government. With this role, he had worldwide responsibility for coordinating Microsoft’s mobility initiatives and tactical deployments with US Government agencies.


Randy is a member of the Board of Directors of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) DC and is the Vice Chairman of the National Defense Mobile Steering Committee.

Alex Yakhnin

Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer, Alex Yakhnin leads the research and development teams and sets the direction for Kaonsoft’s solutions.  Alex is an accomplished technical leader and enterprise solutions architect.  He leverages his more than 20-years’ experience building multi-platform mobile solutions for Fortune 100 companies to ensure Kaonsoft meets our customers’ current and future needs..

Prior to joining Kaonsoft, Alex led the development of award winning mobile solutions for Microsoft’s Mobility Global Practice and Infusion’s Smart Client Practice.  Alex also held Senior Consultant and Mobile Architect positions with FedEx and the New York Mercantile Exchange.  He has designed, developed, built and deployed mobile solutions for customers like Coca-Cola, Pfizer, Avis, and FedEx.  Throughout his career, Alex has accumulated a wealth of experience in mobility and mobile solutions across various industries, technologies and platforms.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Karaganda State University, Kazakhstan.

Todd Borowski

National Sales Manager

Todd Borowski, National Sales Manager for Kaonsoft, is originally from Toledo, Ohio. After graduating from St. John’s Jesuit High School, he went on to attend the University of Toledo where he took his love of business to pursue a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics. At home, Todd has three fantastic boys that keep him exceptionally busy as they pursue their various passions with academics, athletics and extracurricular activities.

Professionally, he brings a wide variety of experiences to the company. He has come into the professional world as an entrepreneur and grown his strengths in a multitude of capacities. Todd first began his entrepreneurial endeavors with Auburn Supply Company Inc., his first start-up business which he ran for 17 years. As president of the company, he grew sales force in Ohio, Indiana and Michigan. In 2008, he sought out a new venture with Boomer Enterprises where he ran the sales and financial administration. Todd has learned thus far that sales has always been his life-long passion.

Paul L. Daniels

Paul joins Kaonsoft with more than 30 years of corporate and entrepreneurial experience leading high-performing sales, marketing, and operations teams.  He supports Kaonsoft’s growth objectives by engaging the marketplace to secure new customers and partners.

Before joining Kaonsoft, Paul served as Director of North America at Diona, where he led the company’s penetration strategy for State and Local Government, contributing to the successful launch of Diona solutions in the US, doubling subscription revenues, and positioning Diona with two dozen government agencies and partners. As Director of Sales & Business Development at Netsmart Technologies, Paul led the alignment of the business development, sales and marketing groups that resulted in revenue acceleration to over $160M and the company’s best practices for sales process, client retention, and employee development.

Paul has also held executive leadership positions leading business units, national and international sales, product development, marketing, and client management for Hyphen Solutions, OneSource, HP Enterprise (formerly EDS), Unisys, and Atos. An accomplished innovator, Paul successfully led the creation and delivery of the industry’s first three-tiered scheduling solution while at Hyphen Solutions, and co-authored the business plan for “Emerging Markets” while at EDS.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Nebraska, and an American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification. Paul also completed “The Leadership Journey” – a 24-month executive management program.
